Schneider`s Bakery in Cooperstown

Delicious bakery. I think our team parents tried just about everything & we were so happy to have found a real bakery! We tried the lemon square, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting, & a chocolate peanut butter cookie. The lemon square I received wasn't very lemony. I couldn't see much filling in it, but it was sweet and the pastry was very tender. The cookies were perfect. My husband - the cupcake connoisseur - was very pleased with his selection. I wish I'd have been able to buy a loaf of bread. It looked so fresh & soft.

A real, honest to goodness, OMG bakery. Everything is made on the premises. Get the cinnamon raisin swirl rolls - they are the best you've ever had. Great coffee too.

Everything about this place is terrific. The coffee is always good. The atmosphere is inviting and clean. And the help is always friendly. There is one particular employee who has a warmth and joy that is contagious. She always smiles and greets with a genuine kindness. She is an asset to this business, for sure.

Best baked goods around! Love the old fashion donuts! The chocolate peanut butter cookies and eclairs are delicious...they will make pies to order and service is always with a smile! You have not been to Cooperstown if you have not been to Schneider's Bakery!

What better way to celebrate a good doctor's appointment for my love than a stop at Schneider's Bakery for something sweet.We went with a Cream Puff and a Lemon Square to share.We both throughly enjoyed the Cream Puff, the pastry was light and airy while the cream was nice and chilled straight from the case, rich and yummy.The Lemon Square was just OK, I prefer a lemon curd filling that's thicker and Dawn noted oats as part of the base detracted from the overall taste.Schneider's has a nice bakery selection from breads to cookies to chocolate delights. There should be something for everyone.There are two tables inside with four chairs each. A cold drink case and a coffee bar is also available. I highly recommend stopping in for a treat.

If you're looking for good "Old fashion" plain donuts, this is the place!! There are NONE better anywhere!

Great old fashion bakery with delicious pastries! We walked in for donuts- which were outstanding, and left with almost every kind of cookie(the chocolate are killer) and cinnamon rolls which are incredible warmed up! Really a great little find!

Always love going there. Great deal soup or chili w/a roll for 5.50. The chili was outstanding.

I stopped in on a visit to the HOF. The coffee in the carafes was cold. I’d hoped for flavored creamers, but no biggie since they had a selection of specialty coffees I could have chosen. I ordered a walnut cinnamon roll which was too sweet and gritty tasting. I tasted my daughter’s chocolate chip cookie which was just average. I tasted my friend’s cannoli and that was good.

Coffee was good, pateries were okay. Didn't like the fact staff were bad mouthing other staff while customers were in the shop. Not professional at all.

I went there with my cousins and the brownies and macaroons was soooo good! I totally recommend this place!

We ordered a sheet cake for my husbands birthday. We had something different in mind with a band theme of a grateful bear music image. They did a super job! Sent them the image we were looking for and it was wonderful.

Old-fashioned small town bakery with lots of familiar items: cookies, bread and rolls, donuts and so on. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the overly sweet glaze used on cinnamon rolls and donuts. Just too much of it! Staff of young women very nice and friendly.

Best Apple Turnover 😁 Perfect with a cup of coffee! We stopped by here after visiting Baseball Hall of Fame, and wanted something for the road on the way back to Boston. Crispy on the outside, delicious apples on the inside. Also try their Cinnamon Rolls too!!!! The girls we met working there were super nice.

Great spot with a welcoming rustic vibe (it is Cooperstown, after all). Grab some baked goods or a coffee for breakfast or lunch and take a walk down to the lake.

Great spot for sweets and coffee. I tried their Vanilla Lavender Latté today and it was absolutely delicious! I love having a place nearby to get special flavored coffees!

Small pastry shop. Selection of sweets, a few loaves of bread, and some bagels. Got a croissant, chocolate croissant, and donut there. Didn’t seem very fresh. Was so-so. Nice service though.

Pastries are very good, but served cold. There is no cutlery to split items to share, and the display items in the window are not reliably indicative of the available items. A good place to carry out pastries if you have a microwave where you are staying.

Cooperstown Institution. Great doughnuts.A must visit when I'm in Cooperstown. The doughnuts are particularly good. The people working there are efficient & friendly. They were able to quickly answer egg-allergy questions for my wife. The store is always clean. I find the coffee to be so-so (weak "New England" brand coffee). If it's a nice day and you don't want to sit at one of the several small tables, take your baked goods to go, grab a coffee from the Stagecoach, and sit in Lakefront park to enjoy your treats.

Great baked goods, but I hate it when there are no prices! Be prepared to pay a lot for whatever you buy. It's expensive,but good!

Quality was top-notch. However Google Maps said this was a "breakfast" place, but it's not. They have one little table to drink your coffee and eat a wonderful blueberry muffin. But you can't get eggs or table service. Bakery, yes. Restaurant, no.

Delish! We stopped in on our way back to Michigan today and it was soooo worth it! This place was packed but the selection was fantastic. Will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the area for baseball.

The cookies and brownies were so stale even my son complained about them. The frosting was hard as a rock. No way anything was fresh. The girl working was friendly but that's the only positive.

Baked goods are incredible, especially the cookie! Good coffee, espresso, etc. Bread selection is good. Lots of pastries! Eat something there! Take something home for later!

I have been going to this place since I was a child. They brought back the original old fashioned donut recipe 😋 it is the best! The little bakery is a place for sure to visit if your in Cooperstown NY
